Our client

Marketpublic.com is an online mystery shopper agency for pubs and restaurants, with a database of more than 8,000 mystery shoppers. By using the site, pubs and restaurants can find out how they are doing in the eyes of real consumers and improve the quality of their service, food and drink.

Our brief

To be able to offer a competitive solution, our client required a fully automated system for requesting, responding to and feeding back from mystery shopper visits. Clients and members needed to be able to manage their own details to minimise support requirements. Credit-card payment handling was also a requirement.

Our solution

The marketpublic.com websiteA new system/process was designed, built, tested, and integrated into the existing site. The main features of the new system included:

  • a join/sign-up process with secure log-in for both mystery shoppers and clients
  • functionality to allow clients to build and edit their own questionnaires, manage multiple outlets and request mystery shopper visits
  • full integration with a third-party payment provider to allow payment by credit card
  • an email newsletter system
  • scripts to allow data extraction for reports


Since full launch in September 2005, Marketpublic.com has signed up 40 new clients and 2,000 new mystery shoppers.
