case study: sportspoll.co.uk
Our client
Sportspoll.co.uk launched in 2006 to provide a free, internet-based prediction service for all online sports enthusiasts.
Our brief
As a start-up, sportspoll.co.uk required a cost-effective, yet professional-looking and highly functional website to meet the needs of its members. The main focus of the site was members' ability to make predictions on the outcome of various sporting events. A solution was also required to engage visitors in a community-spirited website, encouraging them to return and continue to contribute.
Our solution
Websushi was tasked with both designing and implementing a great-looking, usable website, which offered a high level of functionality. The site included the following features:
- Member security, including join, log-in, log-out and 'remember me' functionality
- A system to extract live event information, involving complex filtering processes to ensure only the correct events are displayed on the site
- Functionality to allow members to make their prediction of the outcome of many sporting events
- Full forum functionality, including profanity filtering, moderation and 'report post' options
- A suite of reports for management to monitor the progress of the business
- an email newsletter system
Working closely with websushi gave them a great understanding of our newly formed website objectives. The flexibilty, creativeness and reliability from their team has made our inital concept to final online prescence an amazing hassle-free experience. We look forward to teaming up with them for any future online projects.
- Mark Galley, Director, Public Predictions Limited
Since its recent launch, the site has been performing extremely well and is attracting new members every day.
