We've been working with content management systems (CMS) for years. We've dabbled with some off-the-shelf options, but didn't really like them. However, if you want an all-singing, all-dancing website with polls and modules and trackbacks and user accounts they're probably for you.
But for most businesses, it's too complex.
This is what led us to build our own CMS - something that was dead simple and could be used with little or no training. We've been tweaking and refining for a couple of years now and feedback from clients has been extremely positive! So it's time to take things to the next level.
It's something we've been working on for around 18 months on-and-off (fortunately, we've been so busy with client work this had to take a back seat) - but in the next few weeks we should be ready to launch sushiworks.com.
sushiworks is a hosted website management system for design agencies. It allows them to create an account, and as they build websites they can easily drop it into sushiworks - we'll look after all the boring stuff (hosting, setting up email accounts, help guides) while the designer will have full control over the look and feel. At the same time, the business can update their website as often as they like!
There's lots more to tell, and we're looking forward to showing you more in the coming weeks. We're also looking for beta testers, so if you'd like to get involved please drop us a line!
