websushi helps to launch new SMS service for local businesses

Sendster.co.uk is a brand new service, aimed at local businesses who want to be able to communicate with their customers via their mobile phone. It's a great proposition - a restaurant with a few tables empty that night can send an SMS to their regular clients offering a free bottle of wine to anyone booking a table. It's immediate, and allows an immediate response by the receiver - wherever they are.
We're proud to have been a part of the team for the Sendster project - being responsible for the technical development and testing of the new site. Some of the features include:
- Mobile activation codes
- A Free online address book
- Ability to tag and filter customers
- Ability to schedule messages for the future
- Ability for customers to add themselves to your marketing list
- As well as all the standard SMS messaging (including opt-out)
Whilst the site is now live, we're already working on a busy programme of enhancements to make sure that the site delivers exactly what local businesses need.
